This could be especially relevant for athletes.
One of the reasons for this is that oxidative stress impacts muscle function, which then affects exercise performance. Likewise, abnormal mitochondrial function inhibits muscles from contracting efficiently which brings about an inevitable decrease in performance.
A 2010 study, however, showed that CoQ10 can improve mitochondrial function and decrease oxidative stress. This, in turn, could then improve exercise performance.
Is CoQ10 Safe?
